1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us and information collected automatically when you use the Service.
Information you provide:
- Contact forms — name, work email, company name, and message when you submit an enquiry or demo request.
- Account registration — username, email address, and password when you create an account.
- Billing information — payment card details processed by our payment provider (we do not store full card numbers).
Information collected automatically:
- Log data — IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps when you access the Service.
- Cookies and similar technologies — session cookies used to keep you logged in, and analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the site (see Section 5).
- Device data — for registered digital signage devices, we collect device identifiers (serial number), connection status, and playback logs.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Service.
- Respond to enquiries, demo requests, and support tickets.
- Send account-related emails such as confirmation links, billing receipts, and service notices.
- Monitor device connectivity and deliver content to registered screens.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. Legal Basis for Processing (EEA / UK)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data under the following legal bases:
- Contract performance — to provide the Service you have signed up for.
- Legitimate interests — to respond to enquiries, improve the Service, and maintain security.
- Consent — where you have opted in to marketing communications or non-essential cookies.
- Legal obligation — where processing is required to comply with applicable law.
4. Sharing of Information
We may share your information with:
- Service providers — third-party vendors who help us operate the Service (e.g. cloud hosting, email delivery, payment processing). These providers are contractually bound to protect your data and may not use it for their own purposes.
- Legal requirements — when required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred. We will notify you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
5. Cookies
We use the following types of cookies:
- Essential cookies — required for the Service to function (e.g. session authentication). These cannot be disabled.
- Analytics cookies — help us understand how visitors interact with our website (e.g. pages viewed, time on site). You may opt out via your browser settings or a consent banner.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling non-essential cookies will not affect your ability to use the core Service.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Service and fulfil the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
- Account data — retained for the lifetime of your account and deleted within 90 days of account closure upon request.
- Contact form submissions — retained for up to 24 months.

7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion — request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
- Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Objection / Restriction — object to or request restriction of certain processing activities.
- Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell.

To submit a request, email hello@signovo.cloud with the subject line "California Privacy Request".
9. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, and regular security reviews to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at hello@signovo.cloud.
10. Data Controller and Data Processor
Signovo Cloud operates in two distinct capacities depending on the context:
- Data Controller — for information collected through our website (contact forms, account registration, analytics). We determine the purposes and means of processing this data.
- Data Processor — for personal data contained in content uploaded or managed by our customers through the Service (e.g. images, videos, data feeds displayed on screens). In this capacity, we process data solely on our customers' instructions as set out in our Data Processing Addendum (DPA), available on request.
Customer responsibilities: Customers who use the Service to display or process personal data are responsible for the legality, accuracy, and quality of that data, and for ensuring their own end-users and data subjects are informed appropriately and have provided any necessary consents.
11. Sub-Processors
We engage the following categories of trusted sub-processors to help deliver the Service. All sub-processors are bound by data protection agreements consistent with this policy:
- Cloud infrastructure — server hosting and storage.
- Email delivery — transactional email (account confirmations, notifications).
- Payment processing — billing and subscription management. We do not store payment card data ourselves.
- Analytics — aggregate, anonymised website usage analytics.
An up-to-date list of named sub-processors is available on request at hello@signovo.cloud. We will notify customers of any material changes to sub-processors at least 30 days in advance.
12. Account Inactivity
If your account shows no activity for 365 consecutive days, we will send a reminder email to the address on file. If the account remains inactive for a further 60 days after that notice, we reserve the right to suspend or delete the account and its associated data. We will send a second notice before taking any action. You may prevent deletion by logging in or contacting us at hello@signovo.cloud.
13. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify registered users by email or via a notice on the Service at least 30 days before the change takes effect.
